As many of you know, we recently toured the lovely and DELICIOUS *Friartown* after learning about Providence College’s awesome Professional Studies degree at the School of Continuing Education. Yes, that’s right. Soon we’ll be Providence Eats 2.0! We will be continuing our education and applying what we’ve learned to Providence Eats in order to grow our business. Which, for you, means BIGGER and BETTER dining reviews and perhaps a food truck in the near future? We shall see!
Aside from the food, we chose PC’s School of Continuing Ed for it’s flexible class schedules and formats that will allow us to keep Providence Eats up and running even during long days filled with exams and presentations. We also loved the option of enrolling in a class to test out the waters prior to taking the plunge! It’s quite obvious that the professors here really care about each and every one of their students. (Even more than we care about food! There, I said it!)
Still, we couldn’t choose a Professional Studies program without visiting the campus and its nearby foodie spots. So, we asked YOU to send in your recommendations, and we – well, we ate A LOT.
We first headed out to The Abbey, a quaint and cozy pub just outside of campus serving up THE BEST burgers and wings in all of the land. For real though. Check this out:

Handyman burger with Texas toast

Dry Cajun rub wings
Fun Fact: Every Monday night The Abbey has $5 Burgers and every Tuesday night there are .50 cent wings. Does it get any better? We will definitely be here after a long day of hard work and studying!
Next stop was LaSalle Bakery. The second we walked in we knew we had picked the right school. Also nearby campus, this bakery offers just about any sweet dessert you’re craving AND at great prices. Everything was super tasty and exactly what we’ll need when studying for finals. We got:

Red velvet cupcake
Last, but certainly not least, we stopped by Big Tony’s for a couple slices of heaven. This cute little pizzeria on the corner of Enfield Ave. and Eaton St. dishes up some of the most delicious pies as well as wraps named after iconic gangsters. It is, after all, “home of the gangsta wrap”. We loved every single bite. Here’s what we ordered:

Buffalo chicken pizza and tomato basil with mozz pizza
We couldn’t go back to school without making sure our top choice could keep our appetite satisfied. We’ll be seeing you soon, Providence College! We can’t wait to try all of your on-campus dining options next!
