Providence Eats first hit the food scene in February 2016 quickly gaining popularity among the Rhody community. Due to weekly foods and drink posts, the account grew and became a “token of approval” for its followers when it came to deciding on which Rhode Island restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. to visit. Although Providence Eats loves and supports all R.I. foodie accounts, it is distinguished by its genuine desire to provide the people and tourists of our great state with the best and most unique dining and drinking options. That being said—Providence Eats will never post a meal that was not thoroughly enjoyed (and devoured). Our talented team is dedicated to making sure you eat (well, let’s be honest… pig out!) at Rhode Island’s best restaurants!
Meet the Team:
Kait Barnett: the original blogger behind Providence Eats and self-proclaimed flover. That’s a food lover for those of you who were thinking “fluvver? flubber?” – though, let’s be honest, great movie. Kait is also a marketing and public relations specialist who has done work for a number of industries across Rhode Island. After moving to New England in 2013, it didn’t take long before Kait realized just how good Rhode Islanders had it when it came to dining out. The diverse selection of cuisines in a small region was impressive, and she was determined to enlighten her taste buds every chance she got. After a few months of wining and dining – like, A LOT of wining and dining – Kait decided she should document her food findings so that others could skip the “ehhs” and head straight for the “ahhs”. And, so became Providence Eats.
Meggy McMeggers Curtis (or Meg, if you’re boring): a fellow food lover and graphic designer whose first date was with dreamy bag of doughnuts down by the sea… the girl knows what she wants! But, really. This gal makes some of the best food art in town, and, we mean literal art. Not that she doesn’t also make a mean burger, but let’s not get off subject. Megan’s graphic design skills paired with her flair for creativity makes for some awesome branding, and, well, who doesn’t want that?
Together, these ladies are working to transform the way Rhode Islanders (and those visiting Rhode Island) experience the state’s amazing cuisines.
From traditional Federal Hill joints to beach-side clam shacks, trust that Providence Eats is doing the experimenting and traveling for you because let’s face it, a drive to South County is a hike for us R.I. brats. We’ll drive the extra mile and leave you with your best options
“Providence Eats has worked with us on several Instagram campaigns and as a company we have thoroughly enjoyed every interaction. They are honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working.”
